What stays on your device
- Your audio recordings, transcripts, titles, categories and edits are stored only in your browser's private storage on your phone or computer.
- Speech-to-text and speaker labels run on your device. No audio is uploaded for processing.
- Speaker labels are worked out for one recording at a time. No voiceprint or biometric identifier is created, stored or shared.
What we don't collect
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, analytics that follow you, or sell any data. We never receive your recordings or notes.
Internet use
The app downloads its own files and the speech models once (from our website, the jsDelivr content network and Hugging Face). These services see a normal web request (such as your IP address) when delivering files, like any website. No recording or note is ever included.
Your control
- Delete any note in the app, or use Settings → Delete all notes and recordings.
- Clearing this site's data in your browser, or uninstalling the app, removes everything permanently.
- Because we don't hold your data, we can't recover it for you. Export notes you want to keep.
Recording laws
Many places, including Washington and California, require everyone in a conversation to agree before it's recorded. You're responsible for getting that consent. The app reminds you before you record.
Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your account and plan
To subscribe, or to use free access you were given, you sign in with your email address. We email you a one-time code (sent by our email provider, Resend). We keep only:
- your email address and whether it has a plan or free access, with dates;
- a sign-in token for each device you sign in on (stored as a one-way hash), and short-lived, hashed sign-in codes.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe receives your card and billing details; we never see them. We ask Stripe only whether your email has an active plan. Your recordings and notes are never part of any of this.
Plans: $9.99 a year, or $1.00 a month plus a one-time $2.00 setup fee. Cancel anytime in the app (Account → Manage subscription). Until paid plans start, the app is free for everyone.
You can delete your account anytime in the app (Settings → Account → Delete my account). This removes your email, plan record and sign-ins from our systems and your customer record at Stripe. Stripe keeps payment records that tax law requires.
